Podcasts seem to be audio blogs which means there is a lot to wade through. I am a fan of Car Talk on NPR so that is one that I might be interested in. To subscribe to NPR podcasts there seems to be some other podcasting tools software needed. Reading books for storytime and having them on the library's website has dubious value to me. Finding a podcast is straightforward. I added the EnvironMinute to my Bloglines.

This is a youtube video on global warming and loss of the arctic ice pack as it relates to polar bear habitat.
Our computer is too slow to play the videos in a continuous feed, so it is too annoying to watch too much.

I chose the visual arts section from the Web 2.0 Awards short list. I absolutely love ColorBlender. I have been interested in color combinations since I have started hooking rugs. What fun to play with. Swivel looks at graphs. TheBroth is an interactive art site. I briefly looked at music and city guides. I could spend a lot of time exploring these. This has been by far the best "thing" yet.

Wiki. People are spending lots of time writing. Thats a good thing. Anything you want to get out there to publicize or inform belongs on a wiki.

I have read some 2.0 information on the web and in Library Journal. If we had not been doing this exercise I would not have given it much thought. It's a little scary thinking what the world will be like in a few years with all this information cross-referenced in cyber space.

I have explored Technorati. It is very busy looking. I have explored the World Live Web blog tracker Technorati a second time after completing 23 Things. I still find nothing engaging. I'm just not into blogs.

This was easy and interesting. I'm not a list person, so I don't need a record of what I've read. There is a lot of enthusiasm for this site, so I'm sure a lot of our patrons would get into it. It would also be valuable to book clubs and discussion groups.

I have created a Meez librarian, but have not been able to transport it and our computer is said not to be able to do the yahoo avatar and it's one roadblock after another, so I'm moving on. I have explored, but not transported.
